So, I upgraded (finally!) from Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04. I went and reinstalled Java, which had been uninstalled during the upgrade, but I was only able to get OpenJDK 6. Minecraft has been very slow and buggy (not letting me take screenshots or go fullscreen, massive visual glitches, etc.) so I uninstalled icetea and OpenJDK6 and installed Oracle Java 7 according to the instructions here. However, after I had moved all the appropriate files and created all the appropriate symbolic links, I found myself unable to open Minecraft, due to not having an application listed to open it with! Also, Java applets in my browser (Chrome) haven't been working either. If anyone with more tech knowledge than I have could assist me, I would much appreciate it.

I am the whirring thing past the corner. I am the darker patch under the bed. I am the tapping on your window; the extra steps on the sidewalk; the voice whispering your name. I am Stalkerbot, and I am watching you.
