I believe the issue of forced realm disbands needs to be addressed. Some people might be feeling sore after VVolfie gaining most of Shampoo_Lord's spawn realms. Not that VVolfie did anything wrong but seeing as it happened among the staff could of caused some tension in the member population.

In regards to what could be directly implemented: stop logging banned player's /online status so a banned players realms will go public automatically.
If that is too extreme, then at the very least stop logging perma-banned players /online status. It's unnecessary.
A player typically isn't given a month long ban sentencing so they shouldn't have to keep logging in while banned, instead, wait until you are unbanned to refresh your 30 day online timer.

tldr - If you're banned and try to login: the /online command won't change. Thus admins wouldn't have to force disband any realms.

I tend to disagree. I see many players unbanned after over a month of appealing.

I think it should be changed to stop tracking their logins after 15 days/ 1 month has elapsed.

I agree completely. There definately needs to be something done about this topic. I think that it should get a poll before a realm is forced disbanded, if there was that option I'd choose that one.

I agree that something (possibly retroactively) needs to be done in order to avoid this in the future. If this server is supposed to be "Legit, and super fair" then 2 staff members who are dating shouldn't be involved in the realm disband/buying process.

If anything when such high desirability realms are preparing to disband, it needs to be done by Intelli. Nobody is going to be upset if the realms don't disband on time (well nobody but VV apparently) and far more people are going to be upset if the realms do disband on time but only when forced to, and subsequently end up being purchased by the admin doing the forced disbanding and selling to the girlfriend of said admin.

I know both Rokkr and VV are going to be upset at what appears to be a personal attack against their scruples, but that doesn't really matter much. People shouldn't simply sit back and watch something burn, just because they are afraid to yell fire.

That's just my .02rc

This shouldn't be applied to players who are simply banned, as they could have appeals that are in limbo pending staff review. However, this would be helpful for getting rid of "permabanned" players (or at least freeing up their realms) who have been told they're never going to be allowed back on the server. I won't comment much on recent events, but it seems that a system like this would've prevented some bad blood between several members of the community if it had already been implemented.

I hate to redirect the thread, but here's where I'm going to finally throw my theory to the public:

Set by the staff, realms near spawn disban for a certain price. This price will vary based on the staff's discretion. For example, jailbird's realm last night would of disbanded for say, 80k. This way, it would cause less of a havoc and keep wealth based more on dedication than luck.

The overarching problem the thread addresses is the handling of situations, by admins, in an area where few official rules lay in place. I think there needs to be a way the server handles banned players and their /online status and there shouldn't be any admin interaction. The fact that an admin also plays and fights in the server's economy makes it inappropriate for them to force disband a realm.

Point is the server should have a system coded into it that handles the disbanding of banned player's realms. Unless admins stop actually playing on the server, it wouldn't be logical to allow them to have this power.

The flaw in your "logic" is that if admins are inherently corrupt (which you're implying by saying they shouldn't be involved in the process) why would they bother being sneaky and subtly manipulating the disband of realms? There are plenty of much more effective ways to cheat.

I disagree with some of the disbanding policies, but it's not my sandbox; I'm only being allowed to play in it. When you get right down to it, everyone's got two choices: Deal with it or quit.

I suggest you go read my post in the disband thread, it will explain everything you keep spouting your mouth off about. And as I said I had no clue when they disband other then how to do it, it's not a immediate thing, as far as me purchasing one like I said they started disbanding I was nowhere near any of them and /spawn'd and 5+ people were waiting on the one I ended up purchasing and give to vvolfie so I don't see how that's unfair when they all had a chance.
