You can add "foes" on the forum (user control panel) which causes their posts to be hidden by default. As long as we have this function, which is nearly a /ignore command for the forum, why not make it so that a post by a player you list a foe does not cause the thread to be bumped to the top of the "recent posts" list on the forum's main page?

Uses:
-Reduce annoyance from spammers during times that staff aren't online to sort it out.
-Make it possible for flame wars to simply burn themselves out by not alerting the flamers when their foe posts something.

will work. This is mainly for one reason: most flamers are more immature, do not know the traditions of the forums and are blinded by their own ignorance. Also, almost every flamer is new to the forums and do not know about the 'foe' option.

A few points, I don't have any 'foes' because no one who annoys me in game tends to do so on the forum. Yeah, some people are complete idiot/troll's who don't post anything useful, but if you add someone as a foe you might miss something genuinely interesting or helpful.

good idea except i believe that the recent posts section on the main page on the forum is the same for every member. i believe that to have foes posts hidden would require a lot of coding and even more memory to implement.
