Why are beds still disabled?
Sometimes, when only 10 or 15 players are online, you could just skip the night.
It's a part of the original Minecraft, and Minerealm is a "vanilla" server.

The likeliness of even getting just those 10-15 players to sleep simultaneously is pretty low.
It would also increase the amount of players asking everyone to go sleep, lol.

If I am correct I believe they were disables because there would be mass sleepings and create large amounts of lag

Sometimes it is really quiet with 10 players online. What's bad about social interaction?
Going to bed has a community aspect.

First, I think all suggestions are supposed to have polls now.

As for the bed thing... I think we're fine without it. Night time is fine... I don't know why people hate it so much.

Good luck even getting 5-10 players sleeping there's always 1-2 afk.

If sleeping worked, then all the noobs I MEAN NEW PEOPLE would be spamming "SLEEP PLS SLEEPS SLEEPS SLEEPS SLEEPS SLEEP PLZ PLEEZ PL0X PLAUX PLEEEEASE!!!!!!11!11!ONE ONE!!11!ELEVEN!!ONEHUNDREDANDELEVEN!"

Plus we already have /home which is effectively a spawnpoint, and it doesn't require running around shearing sheep that you can't find and using /sethome to "change" your "spawnpoint" doesn't take up a space in your inventory. Beds should be purely decorative.
