Once a realm is purchased, blocks within the region are protected from other users in order to prevent griefing and damage. A downside to this, despite being effective, neglects the likes of wooden doors. I don't see the point in having to patch up an entrance with a block simply to stop others, this removes the building/realm appeal. Another issue is the repetitive suggestion of using an iron door, this also, in most cases, will ruin the look of the realm, as well as then requiring the owner to carry a power supply around.

An interesting idea would be, just with realm protection, that you can give people permission to open doors.

Now before you lot get all prissy, stating my opinion is stupid, I have no interest to see your comments, simply leave your answer in the poll.

Doors are meant to keep mobs out, not players. If you want to keep players out, don't use just a door. Implementing this suggestion would only create problems for basically everyone rather than solve any problem.

I see no reason to do this. If you don't want people to visit your realms, live incredibly far from spawn, or play SP. We have locked chests. We have protected blocks. For those that don't own the land that they're building on, we have block logs to see who breaks/places what, and player specific roll backs to fix the damage. A locked door is a solution in search of a problem.
