I'd be interested in being able to add a partner to my realm, who can add normal users

I would like to be able to add a member to my realm, and give him rights to add other members to my realm. This would really help when 2 friends who trust each other, and are working on like a housing realm. It's annoying having to wait for 1 person to be on just so you can add a new person to a realm. Also say two friends who trust each other are working on anything. If the primary owner isn't on, the second friend (who could have split the cost for example) isn't able to add other people to help him build/ whatever on the realm. If the primary owner trusts this second friend, he should be able to give the friend the right to add people themselves. It halts progress and teamwork not having this function.

EDIT: I removed the rest of this post because we were going off topic. The vote is only about whether you would like to see this function *added*, or do you strongly object. No existing functions would be removed, just think of it like the realm owner is able to allow trusted people to add regular users, like he could in the first place. Now post here and discuss, how would you like to see this function work as?

I think the easiest thing would be if the initial owner could just /realm (user) leader. Then that person would would be a leader and would have the same privileges as the initial owner. Of course the initial leader could just /realm (user) leader again and it cancels it out and that member becomes a normal member again. I think if anything, this would be the easiest and most convenient thing for people.

I could see this easily falling out of hand, I think it's a bad idea.

I don't know about that. If added leaders have the same privileges as the initial, could they just /realm (initial leader) leader and steal the realm? If anything, the only right added leaders should have is to add normal members.

Yes. I did that throughout 2.0. Cleared many a lister that way.

I personally wouldn't use this, but I could see it being a useful tool for some of the larger realms. If this is ever implemented, though, it would have to be done with the understanding that it's up to the realm owner to deal with any undesired consequences of using this function.

First of all, if you are adding someone as a leader it is obviously someone that you trust. So you aren't going to make some a leader who you think will abuse his power. Secondly, you could just make it that the initial owner can never have any privileges revoked. This is just a feature that i think could be handy for certain realms...

Ok I see what you mean. I also initially thought it wouldn't be good for added members to /realm sell, but actually that would be a good thing provided the leaders are trustworthy. For example, if an initial realm leader was about to become inactive, an added leader could /realm sell and get some credits from it.
