Sometimes when trading, a dispute arrises where the buyer claims to have payed me, but I didn't see it.
Once, it turned out I in-fact did receive the payment, but because of lag, or whatever, i didn't notice the message. This lead to a big trade dispute on the forums, which was resolved with screenshots.
Also, I often get people claiming they payed me, but I don't get anything. I tell them to make sure they typed "/yes", but that gets annoying. 15 seconds into arguing, they type /yes and then I get the money.

If we had a "/credits history" function, it could help resolve many of these annoying issues. Perhaps it could list your 5 most recent transactions, saying who payed you and how much you received, or who you payed and how much they got.

I could use it to check if I actually received payment, the payer could use it to check if their payment actually went through, if we come to some silly argument again. It may be silly, but when you are dealing with big trades above say 500 cr, it gets annoying to have a dispute like this.

Also I would like Admins and Mods to be able to use some function like "/trade history USER" or something, to see this information about any user, if they contact them that they are having a dispute.

Anyways thats my idea, please vote if you think it would be a useful addition to a great server!
Also please comment, with your ideas/ trade dispute experiences. Lets keep this thread alive so an Admin can read it!

EDIT:
Just a thought, but when listing the recent transactions it would be nice to also include a time, not just when it happened but how long ago it happened (for EX "15 minutes ago"). This would help to distinguish transactions from the same player which may have happened one after another. But I'm sure an Admin could figure out the best way to list the transactions if they chose to do so, by starting a new thread asking for ideas/ etc.

Cute retort, but I think the OP has a point. There are times when there's a lot of people dying, talking and logging on and off while you or the server is lagging. It's pretty easy to miss notices or just not be quick enough to hit your screen shot key.

I think that this would be a useful feature and not too difficult to implement.

But that is all extra work. This is just an extra function we could use if there is an honest dispute, which doesn't happen often. And with this, someone could see what is true right away. And if there is still a dispute, it could be easily verified/ solved by a mod ingame, without having to start long annoying threads on the forums. How can I use a screenshot to convince someone something? I wouldn't trust someone who said they had a screenshot until I saw it myself, which would take time. This would be instant.

I mean it is a good idea but, it takes barley anytime to hit f2 when you hand over the credits when your unsure about trading, and if they don't hand over the stuff then you post it on the forums along with the screenshot...

This would be a great idea seeing as I already do PO's for anything we purchase for the town. Only thing is I dont buy from just anyone usually seeing a I only issue purchase orders for minimum 4,500RC or 1 double chest of said item. It cost us to much money to buy not in bulk. /glares at 10% tax

But I'd enjoy having this feature.

It's a shame I know you can't give creds to an offline player. Having a way to settle such disputes without wasting forum space or a mod/admin's time would be nice.

Implementing a short transaction history (last 3-10) is a simple bit of coding that shouldn't tax the server. I hope this gets implemented.

Before a trade, type /credits and write down/remember/F2 (Screenshot) how much credits you have.
Recording the entire trade works as well.

I agree 100%. Such issues could be resolved ingame much easier without having to involve a lengthly forum post/ mod's time would be great. Especially since most instances are just honest mistakes. Also scammers wouldn't bother to try scamming people like this because it could be easily proven that they were lying and trying to scam for items.
