How would everyone feel for an IRC Channel?#30454

Over at possibly Quakenet, Ircnet? Share your thoughts. I tried searching for "IRC" on the forums and didn't get much results. Like two, which of neither answered this question.
What i'm hoping from this, is maybe some ease to the trading. IE. you can have your discussion over at IRC without anyone spamming the chat room itself.

Anyway, I'll create #minerealm over at Quakenet. Join if you wish.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't "IRC" something that only certain people can join and there and different commands. Example
irc.server=
irc.port=6667
irc.password=
irc.autojoin=
irc.autojoinkey=
irc.nickprefix=
irc.nicksuffix=
irc.verbose=false

Something along that line.

IRC doesn't exactly block people out. You can join channels by having a software for it and giving it some details of where to join.
http://www.mirc.com/ - Is the most commonly used, I'll post a step-by-step image guide to help people join the channel. Later though, bit busy at the moment.

I really don't think we need an IRC channel. Most conversation goes through global chat, and anything amongst factions goes through party chat, Skype, and Steam.

Since we don't have a web chat anymore, I find IRC beneficial. I can't log in to the game when I'm at work, or use Skype or Steam during that time, but I can definitely use IRC.

Since we don't have a web chat anymore, I find IRC beneficial. I can't log in to the game when I'm at work, or use Skype or Steam during that time, but I can definitely use IRC.

This.
No webchat means no way for people to easily chat on the website without spamming the forum or using PM's.

Webchat was removed because it caused the server to crash I believe.

An irc would be nice, but truthfully I would not use it very often (and keep using IG chat for misc. discussions). We also already have /p and /reply which I am happy with.

Should such be created?
