Should realms be 25x25 instead of 50x50?

Yes, I would prefer 25x25 block realms for 2,500 realm credits each.

No, I like the current 50x50 block realms that are 10,000 credits each.

While the official poll has already shown that most players prefer 50x50 block realms over 10x10 realms, I'm curious to see just how many would support a 25x25 block realm system instead, with each realm costing 2,500 realm credits.

Personally, I would be a lot happier with such a realm system. As it is, I feel it takes far too long for a player to purchase their first realm and creates a very tedious grind for realm credits when players have an urge to expand their land. With 25x25 realms that only cost 2500 realm credits each, a player can go grind credits for about an hour and proceed to build a decently large structure. I feel this would make realms still expensive enough for the system to not be abused and large enough to prevent micromanaging and spam, but cheap enough so that beginners can easily have a home of their own and players who want to expand their territory can do so gradually and without a mind numbing amount of credit farming required beforehand.

If you do vote no I'd appreciate a reason why even though it's not required, re-voting is enabled in case you change your mind, and there is currently no set date for the poll to end.

I would prefer an "ownership stone" concept. Someone buys the realm and then may sell parts of the realm in the form of an ownership stone that claims territory in a 12x12x12 radius out from the stone (generating a 25x25x25 unit cube). This would allow for easy subdivision and per-player security within the ownership area.

Also, your thread title is wrong.

It should be:

Should realms be made 25x25 instead of 50x50?
Yeah, sorry about that. I'm not sure how I managed to screw up the title. :?

Oh hell no! The 50x50 for 10,000 credits was easy enough to get with a day of playing. If you're that lazy, don't play! 25x25 plot for 2,500 credits would be just a faceroll and every jackass could get one.

If done efficiently, it still takes around 5 hours to earn enough credits for a piece of land. It's not about being lazy, it's about wanting to enjoy time spent on the server. Credit farming is not an enjoyable experience. One of the main reasons I would support something like this is because it allows me to come home, farm for a bit, and build something for the rest of the day. Also, what exactly is wrong with new players being able to obtain realms more easily? You don't want them to be able to protect their items? You don't want them to be able to buy realms that will just get disbanded after a month anyway in a world that's infinitely large? Or perhaps you think it will cause people to begin buying realms as a form of grief? That last one isn't even a problem because anyone doing that will be subsequently banned and their realms made public.

I still really don't understand why people wouldn't support this, and no offense, but I'm unable to take anyone seriously who uses the term "faceroll."

If anyone else would like to explain why so many people would not support something like this I would REALLY appreciate it because personally, I can't understand it. If the reason really is that more players will be able to purchase their own realms please explain why that's a negative effect.

Thanks in advance to whoever responds.

'Scuse me, language please.

I wouldn't mind 25x25 realms, but the price should be 5000rc though. It would still maintain that certian amount of satisfaction when buying a realm. 2500 wouldn't be much of a challange or take much dedication.

But it takes the exact same amount of dedication to get a 50x50 plot of land as it did before. The only difference is that you get it in pieces. As for the satisfaction part, that's really all about the individual player. As for myself, I really don't feel any significant amount of "satisfaction" knowing I completely wasted at least 5 hours of my time so I could have a safe place to build.
