I've only been on the server for a few months, but I've picked up on the fact that updating version numbers to the next integer is reserved for really big changes in gameplay (e.g. adding the first realm system in version three). After reading about the plans for this update, I started thinking that it's big enough to deserve being called 4.0. The current plans for 3.5 include infinite map size and multiple spawn points, which both seem like very significant changes. And of course, this comes very soon after the planned 3.4 update, which will add Notch's 1.8 content as well as a wipe/restart of most of the map.

Thoughts, anyone?

The first place value is only changed when a drastic system change is implemented. They are as follows:

1.0: No System; Vanilla Server
2.0: First Realm System; No Plots
3.0 Current System; Plots and Realm Credits
