Suggestion
I think most of the community would like a way in and out of the end. There are a couple different ways to do this. Allow /spawn and /home in the end. Respawn the enderdragon, or make the portal.

Why is the end so valuable to the server?
It would allow the use of enderman farms, which I doubt will have much effect on the server since many will be trying to be using it and pvp is enabled. However the enderpearls collected from the farm would make a great new way of travel (They probly won't be used much with horses though). The last thing is the endstone which is a cool looking block, and is a way of showing I beat the enderdragon. I doubt the end will be mined out due to how much endstone there is and how it will no longer be valuable. Also I wouldn't think it would be to hard to protect endstone and obsidean in the end to preserve it if destruction occurs.

This suggestion and that other one that Seratias is asking way too much for intelli. Pvp is enabled in the end like it is in the nether, which means if there is only one way to get to end and back, i will be seeing portal campers. Also, if you wanted to use those /spawn /home or /trade commands, that would make it even less legit. Since pvp is enabled in the end(And it won't be changed so don't try making a suggestion for that) doing those type of commands to get away from a fight, it would be like pvp logging except you do get away. Also, the idea of making an enderfarm sounds nice, but it is just making the market drop even more.

Note: We are doing perfectly fine with the way we are now. There is no reason to change it. It is better to keep it the way it is now.

This would be 100% legit.... Respawning the enderdragon that was despawned in the first place isnt legit? This is totally legit. This suggestion is "Make a way out of the end" I didnt say make a way out respawning the enderdragon. You could easily make a way out of the end, and it would take Intelli 5min to do it. If having a way out of the end isn't legit or vanilla please correct me...

Edit: Portal Campers? I go through the portal all the time with valuables since there is hardly ever portal campers. Market Drops for enchantments? Who enchants anymore with the villager trades. The market already crashed. PvP in the end? There isn't even a ranking for that because no one does pvp in the end, and the only reason pvp would ever start in the end is if there is a way out. Fine without the end? This can be said about just about everything. We were fine without horses, we were fine without the wilderness, we were fine without quartz, and so on.

And how would you know it is easy. Intelli never said it was and you don't know what he does.

If a return portal to the overworld is added for the end more people will be going to the end, and it'll be just like the nether. Except portal camping will be a 100x worse because there will only be ONE portal. Also there would have to be some sort of way to protect endstone because people will mine it all up just cause they can.

The reason I dont agree with sera's suggestion is because if we allowed people to just buy and protect land like the overworld it would only help to benefit the super wealthy. I like the idea of being able to get freely in and out of the end, but unless you're buddies with the portal campers I dont see much reason to bother. Dont get me wrong, the end should be more or less a free for all. However we must take into consideration the massive abuse that opening up the end could bring on. Whats more though is that I dont see much being done about the end as of now.

The end is supposed to be "The End". Yes in a single player game the game does continue on anyways, but it was programmed on here to be a literal end. The players that managed to get endstone out of The End got lucky plain and simple. I'm gonna have to agree with the naysayers and vote no.

The fact that it was programmed to be a literal end on here doesn't necessarily mean Intelli shouldn't change it.

I have to say, I'm immensely curious as to why Intelli destroyed the exit portal in the first place. If he gave his reason, it would no doubt settle some of the controversy. He has said that it was intended by Notch to be the end of the game, but, well, it wasn't. Intelli, I, as well as, I suspect, many others, would be very grateful if you explained your intentions, since your modifications have decreased gameplay rather than increasing it.

These suggestions about enabling the end exit sound cool in theory, having another world to play in etc.
But.....I get the feeling these are purely for obtaining endstone seeing as how expensive it is.

Also, look at the state of the nether currently, it's worse than all the mangled nubhuts and griefed builds in the overworld. 1x1 cobble pathways everywhere!
