Idea:
Create a group made up of guild members for composing private messages on the forums. Using your verified IGN a group composed of all guild members would be created. Note: This group would only let you send messages to the guild you are in and not any other guild.

It would look something like this:


Reasoning:
I often send messages to my fellow guild members, but it is a hassle to enter in every username. To add to this, you can only said messages to a maximum of five people. Because of this, I end up having to send three identical messages, but to different people. I'm still not even sure if I have everyone's username.

Possible Negatives:
Sending private messages to a large quantity of people might overwhelm the website's server. I'm guessing the five member limit is in place for a reason, but in reality I'm sending the message to the same amount of people either way.

I think intelli's planning on implementing something like this with the guild update. There will be forums for guilds and such... I think it's something like what you're aiming at here.

Change H. There will be an in-game guild forum. Users can create topics and comment on them, ultimately leaving messages for other guild members.

The Guild Group would be for PMs. But I guess when Guild 2.0 does come around there would not be as much of a need for it. However, PM's would still use full for sending things like Announcements. There are groups for Admins and Donators, so I see no reason why there shouldn't be one for guilds.

Edit: I just realized the word "In-game". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that means it would be located in Minecraft and not on the forums.

I have never really bothered with the PM System... way too finicky/buggy in its current state. If I am understanding this idea correctly it makes sense to have some capability to PM an opted-in group. You would be more assured that casual peeps in your group got the message.

I hardly ever use the guild system, so whether this was implemented, would not affect me. However, I think this idea is valid, and can save a lot of time for some people.
