I think it would be swell if you could earn the right to be a member of more than one realm. Like, once your one realm reaches a certain size, say 100x100, then you can have another realm membership, 2 more at 200x200 and so on. Initially I guess you'd only be able to be an officer in your original realm, and the new warp command would have to be /realm warp (realm name here) for realms you are a member of.

I think this would be an awesome improvement because people would be able to go to each other's realms and help each other build or mine or whatever, without worrying about griefing from unknown persons because they had to make their realm public to have someone from another realm help them.

I've got some friends who joined and want to play with me, but as members of my realm, they complain that there's not enough space left to work lol ... if they were to run away and start their own, it would be so great if they could still come and get supplies for starting up, or if I could go help them build! The multi-realm membership idea would make this possible.

I hate this idea, but I do think that we should have a chat for alliances, and that the alliance head realm should be able to decide which realms are in or out of the chat. Alliances would be groups of realm, exactly like in realm wars (and then maybe have a minimum alliance level to let them into the alliance chat). Just as an idea.

Either way the ability to have more than one realm would just turn into a fight about which faction has the most realms making it very possible to block off realm expansion very easily. It would also not take long for spawn city to be completely surrounded by private realms meaning that solo players would not be able to travel anywhere but inside spawn city.

Have you also never thought of the idea that your friends could turn on visitors, so that you can go see them?

Perhaps some sort of proxy realms, designed specifically to be used in war, but honestly, one realm should be enough for anyone. If you don't like your realm, leave and make your own.

The purpose of a realm in my opinion is to show that you belong to a cohesive unit. Multiple realms for the sake of providing assistance to friends is a fancy way of saying "multiple warps". I admit that realms get industrialize after awhile, but still, you shouldn't need multiple realms. The requirements before you could make a second realm would have to be very strict, like 200x200 for second, 300x300 for third, etc. Even that might be being lenient.

I don't want to see 50 new realms that are merely cancerous growths of other realms.

Yeah but that doesn't let them help with building and stuff. Maybe being a member of multiple realms isn't the solution. Maybe just a new type of visitor, like a VIP who has build privelages and stuff?

I agree with your point here, hadn't really thought of it like that. Maybe adding VIP tags where a realm could allow an outsider permission to build and deconstruct without them being a member would be better.

The restrictions for multiple realms would have to be strict, I agree 200x200 would be appropriate. Also, a single player can only found ONE realm, and only be an officer in one realm. That should keep down the cancerous effect right?
