What would the point of buying a Nether realm be if greifers could still break blocks? Yes making the destroying time longer would reduce the amount of greifing in that Nether realm but it wouldn't completely stop people greifing. I think if this is implemented into MineRealm then I would want it to have no destroyable blocks to non-realm members.

I would build actual stronghold, preferably with high durability materials not just for the looks and otherwise nonsense, but for this reason to protect my building.

It's not easy, but only determined builders can have structures in nether then :)

That would be first actually /challenging/ build-related thing on this server for me, making things fun if I would succeed.
Now make it highly profitable to have nether-base, and we have a cool game - use your skills to keep neth base, and then gain best profits :ugeek:

I do like the idea but it would need work to be functional.

- I think the buy a 10x10 area for the same 10k would work better than creating a "nether credit" system
(I wonder if it would be possible to even limit those further to include all 3 dimensions in the neather[10x10x10]. You could build your fortresses but not really blockade anytying deliberately or accidentally.)

-I do think that PVP should remain on at all times to keep the same feel.

Although some control would be required to allow the roads to remain open. Might even allow the portal to "Claim" the zones that they are created in...

1. Buy a protected plot,
2. wait for some poor sap to walk along,
3. Wall in poor sap with netherrack,
4. laugh as he cannot break blocks due to it being protected, and /spawn, /home disabled in the nether
5. ?

I don't really see the problem here. You'd simply have to /kill yourself in this situation. It'd just be another way to kill players in the nether.
