A simple addition I want in each trade room is a chest. The other day I was selling 10 stacks of dirt to another player. Due to lag my character kept picking up the dirt before the buyer could. I ended up having to drop one stack, run away from the stack, rinse and repeat. Just having a chest in each room would have expedited the exchanged a great deal.

How about a system with AND gates and stone pressure pads, where the doors only close if 2 people are in the room and each standing on 1 pressure plate?

I loved this idea so much I made an example of how simply it can be done! This solution should permanently solve the problem of people walking into trades with no additional attention required from mods and admins.

However, if this is for some reason not doable, a single pressure plate connected to the door would be almost as good.

If we use this method, the trades will be secure for once. Also, this way, if someone logged out, or did /trade from inside the room, the weight is off the pressure plate and the door is reopened. This would all work out perfectly, and as for any greifers who would try to stand on the plate to hold the door shut, we don't want people with these types of motives on the server anyways. Punishment should be a ban for people who do this.

If there is 10 rooms there would have to be 20 griefers willing to do nothing but stand there for hours, I doubt that will happen soon. Maybe 1 or 2 rooms blocked, but that's not too much of a problem.
