I voted no because even when there was a high level of nether spawn camping, it was never really an issue to me. I like the risk presented in going into the nether as-is since it's pretty much the only real survival "challenge" on Minerealm.

Beyond that, it's hardly even survival since the only real threat is death due to negligence i.e. falling from a major height, not paying attention to your surroundings and being ganked by hostile mobs, falling into lava etc.

I think if people really wanted to buy minecraft for it's pvp content they should have gone with www.chivalrythegame.com/. I know it's an aspect to the game but that's why there's also pvp servers to provide that level of content plus there's a /pvp command.

From all the years I played mmo type games the best community servers are the one with open pvp and poe disabled. That way we focus more as working as a team and as a family instead of trying to seek vengeance and building up a hate list of people you dislike and avoid all the people that's also associated with that person.

I think the nether should be set to hard. Picture guild/friends raid events to kill the wither. With 10-15 people to kill it instead of solo'ing it. Plus it will give us reason to wear diamond armor to hunt wither skeletons instead of killing each order or to protect our selfs from pvp'ers.

Is it possible to make the 20 blocks or so around the neither spawn portal free of PVP? There could be one room that surrounds the spawn portal in the neither with many exits to avoid campers. This room alone could be free of PVP and once you leave it PVP is auto enabled kind of like going into the wilderness. This would keep portal campers minimized and actually give you a chance to see them while also having the PVP aspect in the neither. Honestly, if you're killing people within 20 blocks of the spawn portal, you're probably a camper.

As far as the difficulty is concerned, I would love it to increase in the neither. That would allow more mobs to spawn and get materials that are difficult to obtain only because of the low spawn rate of mobs.

I don't like nether pvp because no one goes in and it's just plain boring. There is no scenery, only grief and lag producing lava. It think minerealm needs to make a warp to a arena somewhere on the map, where there can actually be cool scenery ect.

As an ex-camper, albeit one who didn't attack noobs without provocation, as well as someone who has lost probably hundreds of thousands of credits worth of gear to Nether PVPers, no way to the PVP part of the suggestion. The Nether's main challenge is PVPers, and there are few enough players in the Nether that you usually won't encounter them except at spawn, and they're easily slipped past with an invisibility potion, with items in an Ender Chest as a precaution. This single incident, while unfortunate, isn't really significant enough to warrant such a drastic solution.
