This serves more on the purpose of a minor convenience. As Rokkr already stated, if you know the rules, then you can probably take a gander at what you did wrong (this also leads to confessions to things that people weren't originally banned for such as using x-ray when the ban reason was griefing). In the case that one's account has been banned due to the actions of his/her "sibling/friend," the banned user would not know what exactly was done wrong. Even still, this can all be handled in a simple asking of what rule(s) was broken when that player appeals.

Oh my mistake he was banned, but after about a week of evading; However he didn't post a goodbye thread ect like OneMan.

Ratta Rokkrwolf is kind of the forum manager if you didn't notice... I don't think it's possible for him to post off topic. Dlgn on the other hand...

I think this is a good idea, however I would like to add that it usually says a lot of times why you were banned. As Rokkr said it should be obvious as to why you were banned, however sometimes its not. Ex. You break one block in a 5 block radius of the nether portal, and don't think twice about it.

Yeah I know, I just thought it was getting a teeny bit off topic, one man does have a ban appeal they can talk in.

Well that is not always true, the one time I got banned was for doing work on something I built :P. Regardless I cannot imagine staff being bothered with the time to write you up some detailed explanation for the ban... for every ban. From my point of view the whole appeal process is designed as such that only individuals actually interested in playing on the server get attention from staff. Therefore we are already not wasting their time on managing bans.

I am only saying +1 to one reason and one reason only. I am sick of hearing a new player ban appealing and say, "WHY WAS I BANNED I DID NOTHING NAG NAG NAG BLAH BLAH BLAH." It will just make rokkrwolf312's day of listening noob by noob and checking logs for hours just to answer there question only to end up with them making a new appeal or raging.

As I said before, it won't save me anytime either way. I would still need to look up the ban, the reason, and then verify the area/gather evidence if necessary to provide for every appeal. So only people it would benefit are the banned players. And I said before I'm pretty sure we attempted this before and it didn't work, I doubt it would be a easy task to just make custom messages appear for ban reasons. Not to mention the ban reasons vary, and I doubt staff want to write a long detailed message for a ban reason just to benefit banned players. Don't say they won't cause if this somehow was accepted/worked that would be the next suggestion is better reasons because you don't know what you griefed/looted and want to know, which you'd ask in a appeal anyway.

"WHY WAS I BANNED I DID NOTHING NAG NAG NAG BLAH BLAH BLAH." They say this because they don't read the rules therefore resulting in a ban. Again it's their own fault. As far as them making new appeals, I generally don't tell them to, the players who think they are staff/trying to help tell them too. I rarely ask them to make a new one. And if they rage that is their own fault as well, you get banned man up and take the ban, whining/swearing/raging isn't going to help either way.
