This is a terrible idea that half nullifies the realm system.

There are many ways to protect your belongings, one just needs to think.

this person is using a mod that can see through blocks. He targets chests and they are highlighted in bright blue. There's practically no way to protect your belongings from this guy besides from buying a realm, which takes a very long time for new players.

In his recent videos he talks about how the chest grief autoban has backfired. while this person is having fun looting all the chests eh can get his hands on, innocent people are being banned just because they accidentally break a chest or remove a cobblestone hut.

Actually the accidental bans have dropped substantially. There were several in the first few days but now it seems like people are wising up and planning accordingly. Most of the chest bans I've seen this week have been people going "Oh I was just cleaning up a public realm" which is treated as an actual griefing ban if they didn't ask staff. I think this has actually had a good side affect of teaching people how serious the rules are about griefing.
