My main realm is in the ocean so I don't have that problem. I do like the look of houses built on the side of hills though.

4. Merge terrain

To resolve the issue of jarring terrain between old land, and new wiped land, I've been developing a terrain merging system. In the above overview map, yellow realms are realms that terrain merging would occur in.

Here's an example of wiped land without terrain merging:


Here's an example of wiped land with terrain merging:


It's not perfect. However, it should overall improve the edges of old->new land.

Just looking for a small clarification here.
My interpretation in the above pictures is:

3 of those realms were public(the three ice realms) and 1 private(the elevated cliff) and thus the 3 ice realms would be yellow on the tilemap in the first post

and

The cliff realm has 0 blocks changed by the script and thus all smoothing blocks are additive to the ice realms(yellow tiles) that were wiped first then augmented.

Looks like either a ton of ppl quit playing or a ton of ppl used the /realm wipe command.

In this example map, green and yellow realms are public, and set to be wiped. Blue realms are private realms, and white realms are public realms that won't be wiped.

Is this interpretation of the updated map correct? :
Green & yellow realms are public or have had the /realm wipe command used on them.
Green realms will wipe fully
Yellow realms will be wiped and have the terrain merge applied to them
Blue realms are private and will not be wiped
White realms are public/set to be wiped but won't wipe due to the 150x150 rule
