It will cause to much fights there is already a 5 sec pause

However, the 5 sec pause does not prevent people from logging out as far as I remember. There should be some incentive to convince players not to log out during a fight. :3

last i checked combat logging is already bannable, however needs fraps to be on for it to be proven. the problem i see with this is someone getting attacked, who does not want to fight, logging out so they don't die and then being banned for it.

But to be fair with you, players type /pvp in the overworld knowing that they could die fighting and players should know/be told that entering the Nether/End/Wilderness entails full pvp and that they use these places at their own risk. Log out should not be used to avoid death.

Perhaps the person dies when they log out when they have been hit by a player in the last 10 seconds. Thus, they lose their items when they log out which is almost the same as getting the kill properly. The only bad side to this is that the person who was attacking didn't get a "kill" count and didn't get their kill fix quenched.

Anybody who battles for their count is missing the point. Killing the unarmed isn't only unecessary, but if done repeatedly, it can make enemies and your respect can be lost.

Ok if this was implemented and 2 Guys are pvping eachother and the first Guys minecraft runs out of memory... Yeah you can figure out the rest my minecraft runs out of memory at least 1 time every time I play so this would make pvp boring and to risky= pvp will die out on this server and think of how many ban apeals staff must take care of every day. So its a No from me and what if you forget to turn pvp off before you logg out for the day. It's so many bad things that can happen and pvp wouldnt be funny anymore.

The reason I made this is that I was fixing something in the nether, and while doing that, two people came in and tried to kill me. So, when I turned around to protect myself, both started running around as if they didn't have heads. One of them had died, and his friend was running, and logged out. I had asked his friend to get him back on, and he said that the reason he had logged out was go to work for his night shift. 5 minutes later his friend was on, and then off again. He did this for acouple of hours. Only reason why I made this thread. Not fo people who have real life things to do, but for the people who don't want to cry that they lost their things.

Personally, I like being allowed to log out if someone randomly starts chasing me in the Nether. Otherwise, I wouldn't really be able to go in the Nether, because I suck at PVP. Now agreed fights, that's something else entirely.
