Arguments FOR this idea.
-The amount is small, 25 credits per vote, and with a cap of 100 per day. There is literally no way to make money off this. It is not game breaking in this way.
-Credits are not part of vanilla MC, so arguments saying this is not legitamate are invalid.
-Is an incentive to vote, which promotes the server.
-Would provide new players with a bit of cash to get them on their feet, without breaking the system.
Arguments AGAINST this idea.
-You are being paid to vote. This means that how much the server is actually "liked" on these sites is suspect.
-New systems are glitchy. There was a credits glitch that allowed one to give away more than they had at one point. It is possible this will have an issue with how much you get, or the cap itself, potentially breaking the economy.
-Every credit currently in circulation can be traced back to a broken/placed block. This means that as far as the credit system goes, this is NOT legit, and therefore not in line with Intelli's goal of a largely Vanilla, Non-Whitelisted, Legitamate Survival Server.
-Requires that Staff/Intelli do the work for it to be implemented. This is usually an automatic death sentence for any suggestion.
-Alt accounts can be used to exploit the voting limit.
-Determined, long-term griefers can gain trust, abuse alts, and amass TONS of credits that they could then inject into the economy. It would require little work to pull off, and is a very real possibility.
My conclusion? The few concrete benefits are outwieghed by the concrete negatives, and the potential benefits are outweighed by the potential negative effects, which are devastating IMO. I say no. -1.
