I especially like the messages "<user> tried to swim in lava". Those are my favorite.

why dont we get rid of the log in and out notifications? Those eat up much more space.

There are some people who favors the death notifications while some do not.
Instead of removing them completely, there should be a toggle command such as /death, similar to /chat.

Well, there are two functions that I use to see if someone is online, "/online" and "/party users". I dont go around trying to find them in world. THAT would be silly. If I need to talk to them I just send them a msg. And what if they are offline? The server tells me they are. Problem solved.

I would like to be able to toggle the notifications on/off. That way when I am trying to build or explore I dont have all this stuff scrolling up half of my screen that I dont want to look at, but people can still send me messages if they want to get ahold of me.

If they can be toggled then the people that want it on can have it on and the people that want it off can have it off.

I think it would be a good addition to change the death motd from its yellow colour, this is because it is hard to distinguish it from the log in and logout motd, thus making it difficult to read to whomever desires to.
