I say: I already explained in the thread starter that I'm a "vet". I've played on mostly legit servers with the exception of one server that had MCMMO / MoveCraft / Towny. To me those enhanced the classic experience. Though I'm not going to debate the definition of "vanilla". It's a matter of opinion.

I Say: I'm honestly shocked that Notch hasn't added this to the standard game. I would guess, in time that it will be added. As white-lists and other admin tools have been added over time. Again, this is opinion. Debatable.

I Say: Your point is totally valid. I did *not* search for "chest locking" at all. I'm sorry about that. I'm usually very good about these basic forum mannerisms.

I Say: The mere fact that this request is made so often; is telling me something. However, it's probably telling you something different.. like.. "people need to use the search button".
I'm not being hyperbolic here. Just making mention of how the individual perception is the individuals reality
It's a matter of listening to your players/voting and maintaining an ideology set down by the servers owner.

equally as grateful for anyone who came in here to talk about this. Whether my words are a waste of your time or not, I'm sure you are grateful that I care enough to discuss this matter rather than walk away. My friend LectricBlue and I might be donating soon. Whether or not I get my way is irrelevant as is whether or not I subscribe to this "vanilla" ideologue. What is clear from this thread is that the community is very respondent and that's better than what most MC server communities can offer. Thanks! Appreciate your time!
