Subrealms, 25*25 squares, sound good. I think it should take 5000rc to split a realm though, and that realm could have no MOTD, or at least only one for the whole realm.

I think it should be free after you've bought the realm. And I think it should still have a motd.

Here is the solution, which is already implemented.

You buy one realm. Then you buy one next to it. You only give some people access to one of the realms.
