This would probably be best for less ban appeals and requests that have 8 pages like many of the well known members get. This would make it easier for staff to make their decision on the issue.
Huh? You actually think staff read all that stuff we post in ban threads? LOL. Staff probably decide off the persons very first post in the thread, and then skim through to see if anything relevant gets posted, which is not often. Each page maybe adds 4-5 seconds to their decision making process.
Chances are that it adds 10-15 seconds for the page to load...

No, that is all the huge signatures making it take a long time to load...

I wouldn't be able to be a game mod right now; I'm not even playing all that much right now, particularly given that I'm nearing the end of the semester, with projects and finals coming up. I can have the forums up in the background as long as I'm on the computer though, so it would be much easier for me to moderate. The sentiment is appreciated, though. :)

On topic: I can't remember the last time I saw someone get forum banned, even temporarily. I do occasionally see admins/mods enforce order, but it's fairly low-key, as far as I can tell. I don't even see some of the more egregious ban chatterers get scolded.

I think it's a great idea.
I get alerts on my phone whenever someone
posts on my ban appeal. It would be nice
to know that when I got one, it's not just someone's
opinion as to why I deserve to be banned. Lol.

I'm all for this.
Even if it means the beginning of barren ban appeals.

By the way... I almost fell out of my seat when I read this.

Seriously, first you need get the attention of people that you are trying to get out to avoid falling into the pit of perpetual neglect; then you have to get past the three headed Cerberus, the three heads being Kress, Cerevox, and myself; and finally you need to get past Charon (an admin) and have actual approval to get out of hell.

Basically, you need to be the literary equivalent of Kratos.

Imagine a world in which the admins don't care about the players. They are frivolous with bans and ignore appeals. To stop the "whining" and public outcry, they simply make all appeals disapear.

I'm glad I can easily see that I don't live in that world.
