Lava and water I've heard are only to be placed by mods and admins?
I created a wall of elements surrounding my 100x100 land and I log in to see my friend taking everything away and pouring water on lava to make lava go away. He said that the mods were talking in game chat about the restrictions of who can place these elements. I trust him enough... So is this true and is there a reason why? or does this apply to the public land and not realms? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Water and lava can only be placed by mods/admins on the CREATIVE Server. It seems like you were on the survival server where players do have access to Buckets of water and lava.
