All of the PvP I've done has been in the nether, but there typically aren't many people there because of how dangerous it is--not only the PvPers but also holes people dug in the terrain and the falls into lava pits. In order to promote nether PvP, perhaps the mods could protect a small area within the nether, flatten it out to make a simple arena, and make it impossible for other players to break blocks within it.

The only other thing I could think of would be to let everyone buy territory in the nether, but IIRC the idea of putting the realm system in there has already been shot down.

I used to have an arena in the nether... Actually it is still mostly there but it gets griefed all the time. One other thing. If you had read this thread( http://minerealm.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=798 ) but just to help you in case you are to lazy to look for it here it is.

8. Any idea that requires Intelli or the admins to put work into it will ultimately fail. I think I've mentioned this 5 times. In most cases, anything that requires the work of someone else is destined for failure, unless you make the case VERY strong. I don't want to discourage you from posting ideas by saying this, but if you do, don't give a tone such that you are pretty much forcing the admins to do all the work for it

Yes, I had read that. Thought the creation of an arena wouldn't be as bad since it would be a one-time project that, after completion, would require no further effort from anyone. But I can't dispute your point, so I withdraw my apparently silly idea.
