Why would you say that? Yes, it's a matter of opinion, but my point is that the grinder is popular and generally well-regarded (as evidenced by its 9.7 rating), as well as often used (well, it used to be, anyway).

I just meant as in the rating is more likely to be because it's a fast grinder, not because of the design. Last I checked my own quad spider grinder had a 10/10 rating. Doesn't mean it's a better/worse build than the vortex one though.
Also something 1.8 related nerfed the spawn distance on mob spawners and I need to fix it as only 3 spawners are activating now. I never did get an answer if intelli had nerfed spawn distances to curb server stability or if it was a spiggot related issue


Anyhow, back to the main topic.
The counter arguments of "you could bypass by selling to a friend and back" I'm seeing on here are about as relevant as I could get a whole bunch of Aequitas alts to rate a plot 10/10 - ie. not really the point of this poll.

I know ratings dont really mean anything, or allow for any special abilities. I just dont think it makes much sense to inherit a bad rating. I've owned a plot at spawn that used to belong to someone who kept it as a flatgrass. It has a rating of 4.6, even if that was an accurate assessment of the previous status of the plot it doesnt really reflect the potential opinions any forthcoming persons might have. Even if there is some built in system where old visits come off after a while, old ratings dont seem to. This plot rating hasnt changed in the 6 months I've owned it, and it doesnt make much sense to me. I dont really know why this needs explaning. If people think a plot is crap than it should be reflected in the votes that people place when a specific person owns it, and reset when someone sells it.

Also, you guys talking about people selling plots back and forth just to up the ratings with their accounts or friends seems like a very pathetic waste of time and I dont know of anyone who would take the time to do that. It would be pretty easy to find out who was doing it and who isn't so I cant imagine that being a real problem.

And really bsg? I cant be the only one to notice that theres about 30 accepted but not implemented suggestions, so what really is the point? I dont know, I just thought I'd like to hear peoples opinions on the matter.

P.S. Plots dont count visitors when theyre public.
