Invalidity of the suggestion aside, Tekkit is a lot of fun but I don't think it's right for MR. I've noticed that Tekkit servers tend to wipe maps more frequently because of some of the bugs that come with such an extensive mod. Not good for a server that's committed to not wiping the map (and frankly a map wipe would be required to even implement Tekkit - while there are some recipes in the mod that use vanilla items as ingredients, most of the cool stuff requires things like Tekkit-exclusive ores).

I believe this would be on an alternate server.

I wrote some lengthy poetry about this, but decided not to post it. Instead of attempting to rewrite it, I'll just say I don't like mod packs like Tekkit. The mods fit together horribly and, frankly, take away the true minecraft experience.

Tekkit? No people have moved to Feed The Beast. Still most people like minecraft, and I would probly quit a tekkit minerealm.

I'm not actually into tekkit but I know enough about it to say that it would be AWESOME to be able to play with all the people I know on this server with all those kewl new items etc. However, it's almost certainly not going to happen, as it would probably cost too much money to keep another server up and running. Maybe an anniversary thing? Too far away from that to decide though.

I'm surprised no one noticed Intelli bumped a year old thread. Hint: Someone make a new suggestion for a Feed the Beast server, this time with a poll.
Obviously quarrys and chunkloaders would have to be disabled.
