+1 comments are already eliminated (in theory) by the polls. But if I read somebody's appeal and they say "Only staff post please," but I see something in their appeal that I know is a lie or I have information that they left out, I'm going to post it, regardless of what the person says. I think the mindless "I don't like you so you shouldn't be unbanned" posts should not be allowed anyway because they contribute nothing to the appeal, just like the +1 posts. But if somebody has important information, they should not hesitate to share it.

We strongly encourage you to post if you have information that contradicts an appellant's statement, or is otherwise relevant. If you're REALLY not sure/don't wish to post publicly, you can ALWAYS PM staff anything related.

As to any post that boils down to either "I support this appeal" or "I oppose this appeal", that's why the polls are there. We're tired of seeing posts that are good for little more than increasing post count, so unless you have something to contribute or are directly involved (victims, they're already banned, we know you don't like them), vote and keep out. The Bans section is an administrative work section, NOT a place where most players need to be involved.

Even if the appeal states that only staff post and a staff has warned that anyone who posts will receive a forum ban, you could still send supporting/opposing evidence to a staff member in a pm.
