The blocks in question have already been removed, and would therefore not be affected by wiping the wilderness.

It's basically like your free-for-all zone of Minerealm located past the z= -5000 border in the overworld. No items can be brought in, emeralds can be found in extreme hills biomes there and of course, jungles can be found there, PvP is enabled and mobs do twice the amount of damage, but the difficulty still remains on Easy. It's like a huge open world with fresh plots of land that players haven't torn through with caves that have been unexplored.

Wipe the wild after major updates means for example. Mojang creates a new item only obtainable in 1.6 terran, we would regenerate wilderness terrain to get that item. Why do this? No one wants an out of date server! Like how you used to not be able to get jungle trees for a while in minerealm. I did not like that one bit.

Invalid, this is already the purpose of the wilderness. Although we're (obviously) not wiping it after every update - it takes time to merge wilderness area with the existing map data.
