I have to say, this would be a great use for the pay-per-button feature soon to be implemented. On the other hand, this would make spawn kinda ugly (like it isn't already...I'm kinda wishing now that I hadn't suggested that Intelli force the newbs to read the rules). Maybe it could be right outside spawn, so there could be room for spawn PVP? IDK...it's kind of a weird issue, especially because this is mostly not something Intelli needs to implement. I vote yes, but not if it's all around spawn—I want spawn to be pretty.

I'd like to see a sign-based chest shop. This is no different than /trade, except that A) you have to /spawn instead of /trade to get there, so that you can't warp back to where you were before, and B) it looks different.

First, I think this requires that the 4 realms centered at spawn no longer be realms, instituting eminent domain.

Second, I like it.

Third, I think systematically and periodically auctioning the plots off by the server would be better than setting a concrete price. And since some players would want to buy the plots just so nobody else owns them, it would be necessary to add limits. For example, the US president can serve a 4-year term only if he/she did not serve both previous 2 terms. With the plots, a plot could be owned for (say) 1 week before auctioned off again. A player can own 1 plot at a time and can own a plot if he/she did not own a plot either of the previous 2 weeks.

If people think it could take up a lot of room we could always make a small staircase down (like the teleporter room) into a room of shops.

A. Are you providing the land for this to go on? It's certainly not going on my realms.

B. It's quite clear how the poll result is going to be. No need to wait any longer to mark it.

A. yes I would be, you can do whatever you like with your spawn realms, if you wish to keep it a plain grass field with a red carpet leading to nub info, go ahead. It was just a suggestion to hope give a bit of life to spawn instead of buildings just sitting there for ages, never changing.

THAT is a massive pro!
People talk about how Minerealm has an 'economy' but... Well it doesn't, does it?
Just a lot of people spouting the same info on prices they heard someone else heard from someone else.
An economy works by fluctuation of prices depending on whats needed by people over a period of time.

Anyway...
I like the idea of a market area, I think it will increase the reliability of being able to buy or sell things you need quickly without having to spam/beg/moan in chat or leave the game to go to the forums.
I like the idea of people renting a quarter/eighth of a realm for a week (I'm lazy at maths) and not being allowed back for two, it will keep things fresh and prevent dereliction. Also maybe the guy who's been hoarding diamonds since the server's inception could have a sale, limit it to one stack per customer, and sell them for 5k a stack

But...

Doing it at spawn would create far too much drama.

Decentralising it isn't going to bring in ANY customers.


I think, this is almost a great idea.
