So I understand the nether has had alot of work done to it, but our nether is also heavily destroyed. I think our current nether should be wiped entirely. Now I am not to sure if for this seed, it will give you the same nether, but having the a different nether than now would be great. This "Wipe" will allow withers to spawn ALOT more frequently, along with nether fortresses. I personally think this is a great idea, because if wiped the nether will become more popular.

There arnt a whole lot of steps, but if this is accepted I or staff can post a 1 week warning advance thread on the forums and advertise it frequently in chat.

I understand this destroys the wither head market, but in all honesty monster drops should not be this hard to come bye.\\

I think it's fine as it is. The only reason for this to happen would be to make it easier to get wither heads, and I don't think that's more important than everything we've done to the nether. Yeah, the nether is crap, but we can fix it if we want it fixed, and TBH I find the default nether to be even worse. Wither heads don't need their price to go down; beacons are supposed to be a luxury item, extremely hard to procure, and as killing the Wither is pretty easy, the only hard part is finding the heads. I voted no, and you should too.

First off, its not just to benefit getting wither heads for beacons. I did not mention this earlier but I still will now. People want togo and find stuff they need, for ex: netherwart's or netherbrick, or even soul sand. Also, wiping the nether could also reduce the major lag some people face when traveling in the nether. And another thing, it could help get rid of those lag machines in the nether some people might have. Moreover, it would also help with the crazy death traps that are in the nether. This is not beneficial just to me, yea I have died due to those things, but not recently nor do I know its only me.

To the first bold, people are entitled to there vote and do not have to vote as you do.

Second bold, you are talking about a different suggestion, and are advertising your wants on someone else thread.

Not really. If anything, it would increase it due to the huge amounts of lava and fire that would appear everywhere.

As someone who has put in a lot of effort into the restoration of the Nether Roads from the last wipe, I would not like to see my work destroyed. And you say the Nether will become more popular, and it will be for the first few weeks. Then everyone will realise that all the more valuable resources for the Nether will have been purged, so return back to the everyday life of Minerealm.

Like I said before, wiping the Nether also results in the Nether Roads being wiped. This means that the server's fastest location-to-location transport so far will have been removed. People would have to take the subway, or, if they do not have a minecart, walk across land to get from location to location. As such, fast transport will be temporarily lost and then someone will have to take it upon themselves to restore the said means of transport.

For the sake of transport, I vote no.

First bold, it isnt hard to go find netherbrick? Dlgn go find me 32 stacks no problem, or go find me a stack of netherwart in the nether that you dont know where it is. Soul sand is still pretty uncommon in nether.

Second bold, not if the lag machine was created awhile ago that someone has forgotten about. Also, why would i trust you, you have never seen that happen, as the nether has never been wiped before.

Suggest this when the new nether ore is added. Then there's a reason to refresh the nether. 1.5 is in about 3 weeks so try then

I have a place where I could harvest around 20 stacks of nethebrick. I found duhdutches nether wart farm, I replanted there and put a lot in other places. Soild sand isn't as easy to find, but when you do find it, thers a lot. I could care less though

I can tell you with confidence that is has. The Glowstone in particular was cleaned out VERY quickly. Also, me and Plane took quite a large amount of effort restoring all the roads that the wipe disposed of (along side other generous players, such as iBiS assisting with the Spawn City to Abyssus City Road.

I'm with OneManWo1fPac on this, in that I would go for it when the new nether ores are added. Don't bother wiping the nether now, because I guarantee there will be another poll like this within days of the next Minecraft update.
