Took some time, came back, saw this thread. From what I've gathered, I would just prefer that it not try to auto-correct to names. Thats what TAB is for.

Edit: Mac users can't use the tab key. Even with function or alt or whatever. Unless, I am doing it wrong after all this time.

Just Set you 'TAB' key to something else like this key: ` (new the 'z')

The "gramar filter" prevents me from using several basic punctualtions. It aslo auto substitutes incorectly or in unwanted situations.

Intelli, this is worse than doing nothing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But if it is broke, don't make it worse.

KNOWN FLAWS:
All numbers converted to a xxxxR format for no apparent reason.
Saying the word "fire" is not possible.
Use of "", ', !, [], {}, <, @, #, $, %, and ^ impossible.
"LOL" converts to incorrect *laughs*

This is temporary, but I agree here. This is severly crippling to certain aspects of chat. Not only that, but is an auto correct even neccesary? Fixing mispelled words will not fix the associated difficulty that comes from people posting/chatting inane gibberish.

I type "there" and I get "therealskillz". I try and add an ellipses at the end of an unfinished thought and I get ".". I add multiple question marks or exclamation points at the end of a sentence to express my feelings; they are reduced to singular question marks or exclamation points. Occasionally I'll type a sentence and incorrect punctuation will appear. This new chat is flawed, therefore I don't like it... I opt to instead vote for a better version of this auto-correcting chat. I like the idea seed, I don't like the output.
