Hey everyone!

Due to the massive changes Notch has made to the terrain generator, we will be using a new seed for 1.9. And to clarify right away, even if we stayed with the current seed, it is ultimately a "new" seed, as everything is completely different.

As the Minecraft 1.9 release is imminent, this thread is a friendly reminder to not update your client to 1.9. Please use the "Not Now" option within the client to stay on 1.8 until this thread is updated to say otherwise.
