Nice idea but it won't ever happen. As far as i can tell, the vast majority of trades happen in /msg rather than public chat. When somoene announces they want to trade for/with something, and then only mention once, I assume that they recieved several PMs and have accepted the best bid. However, without questioning everyone who mentions trading, you can't possibly find out what the result was.

Beyond that, there are several people who message others out of the blue about trading and so never appear in public chat at all. Public chat probably sees less than 10% of all trades completed in it and with that small of a sample, any kind of analysis is pointless.
