When something is rejected, we have the right to disagree with it. Again, Freedom of Speech is a powerful thing.

There is no such thing as freedom of speech on a private server.

Nope. Its public in that anyone can attempt to join it but the server and the website are privately owned by intelli. If he says you cannot talk, you cannot talk. There is no freedom.

This is the way I see it: Minerealm is for showing off your building skills, participating in an awesome virtual economy, and mining to your hearts desire. Too much effort goes into having to expand the map or wipe public land for every update. That's what single player is for. Every update, experience minecraft one more time and defeat the ender dragon. And when you're bored of that, go back to minerealm.

Eventually, though, minerealm will need to update, provided minecraft isn't extinct when that time comes. The map will get all destroyed from grievers, tons of new blocks will be missing, it will be difficult to find diamonds, etc. By that time, I think a full wipe will probably be necessary.

Fix= PVP enabled everywhere FOR THE WIN!!!!! I play on a pvp server that doesn't work as well as minerealm, but it has pvp. Just sayin..

Isn't it ironic that we were stuck in 1.7.3 for months, and Intelli would procrastinate away all the coding and not wipe or implement 1.8 features until just before the next update;

and now, there is a wondeful update that opens peoples minds to new building ideas, wonderful PvP scenary, and best of all, a new friendly mob; but we can all presume that Intelli will repeat the same process, making us wait and wait and wait for the new items that all the others servers implemented without a fuss or fight about it. That is, of course, unless Intelli rejected this to avoid sounding condescending or redundant, as he already stated his lack of motive for keeping the server updated with the game when he made his statement of "No more map wipes, ever."

Either way, it's senseless arguing this point to a bunch of toddlers on a -might as well be- creative server, that doesn't teach or excersize one thing about Survival aside from the first tree you have to punch.

Real survival would require PvP everywhere, possibly the spawn town or building being non-pvp, or select shops and cities. Also, 10,000 credits for a realm is just about the simplest darn thing you could do to get protected land on what is SUPPOSED to be a survival server; if you want authentic survival theme, at least make it 50,000 credits before you can protect your own hind without having to worry about other players.

Not to mention, Intelli, you're decisions have provided yourself a lack of donations from many people despite your attempts. Now, with my tight-nick group content elsewhere, 4 frequently donating players, and many would-have-been donors no longer seize interest in this servers tendancies. Though you'll likely take this as an attack, and possibly even take down this post for putting light to the servers real issues, try to understand that I am sympathizing here. You are letting your server turn into the old dusty gas station that no one wants to stop at to fill their tank up simply for the features missing from the place. Now every time I log into the server, there might as well be a tumbleweed rolling across the street and a Coyote howling in the background of my minecraft soundtrack.

Much like all the other rants I've posted since my brief absence on the server, your replies to this will likely not be heard. I stop in on the forums every now and then to check in on the server, even though every time I come here it appears more and more like a young doe, recently hit by a large vehicle, bleeding out slowly on the side of the road until it's too sad and pitiful to continue looking at.

I remember when myself, and a couple others were temp forum banned for "Posting irrelevant things on Ban Appeals." Some how swearing must have slipped through the hands of the banhammer holder.

Nothing personal Torn, but maybe you could have picked a better choice of words.

Show some gratitude. Part of the trade off to having such a stable and protected server is that certain things are hard to immediately implement. Yes, it would be awesome to have jungle trees, but when it comes down to it, this is Intelli's server, which he has been gracious enough to allow us (the public) play free of cost. When he implements it, it will be on his terms, and more than likely it will be awesome and legit.
Stuff takes time to code. A lot of time. If you've never coded anything, I suggest you take it up and try it out for awhile. It really puts into perspective the amount of effort it takes to get things done. I guess some people are stuck in the McDonald's culture though...the burger is sitting there warm 30 seconds before you order it, and it better not have onions or I'm going to rage. /sigh.

This thread needs to be locked before some people make choices they're going to regret later.

This. And I too think that minerealm is Too safe and friendly. I support no swearing 100%, but remember, this is survival mode. Not creative. I want to be able to fight for land.

My dream (completely impossible) FULL map wipe, Pvp everywhere except for spawn, realms cost 30k, no chest protection in realms, more people on the server, nicer veterans, and more TNT.

If anyone has objections to the above, please say so.

If I get a temp forum ban for saying that, then it was well worth it. It needed to be said.
