instead of having "cards" that would need to be made, perhaps just have a list of events (lose x credits, gain y credits, etc). These events could be numbered, and then chosen with the same "dice" (random number generator) used for determining movement.
On a related note about the random number generator:
Will it be weighted so that 7 is the most likely outcome and 2 & 12 are least likely, just like rolling a real pair of dice?
