Kids see worse words at school. The rule against swearing is pointless. Also I don't think there are many young kids (10 years or younger) on the server and personally I don't want kids that young on the server. Do you?

The rule against swearing is wonderful and much appreciated by me and others who are here. Swearing is offensive, and distracts me from enjoying the game. In all honesty, if we didn't have a rule against it, I would leave the server.

Personally I think that the swearing is unnecessary, but I DO think that te help bot is "over the top". Swearing wasn't really a huge problem before the help bot. It should ony ban for hacking, and spamming.

Oh definitely. Help bot has an incredibly strict filter that not only catches swearing but any form of vulgarity as well. There are even more cases where words that are not offensive in the slight are accidentally caught in the filter.

Also agreed with you aguy, helpbot is way too strict. I mean this server is the only thing I've played in a very long time with a swear filter. I don't even see the point.

Yes, earlier I was singing a song and said "Damn right, it's better than yours" and got a warning. .......... I'm not 2 years old..

And then later on I said "If the help bot banned me for saying that earlier, I'd be pretty pissed"

Yeah HelpBot has gotten Chestfuls of greif about inaccuracies and while it bans for misunderstandings sometimes it can also miss some very vulgar analogies that do not contain swear words.

I went through the ban section of the forums, and just tried to get an idea of what people were getting banned for. The top four categories are griefing, xraying, flying, and swearing.

Faeyn's pretty much got it, though I'd say you could distill those four categories into just jerks and cheaters. If we could only find a way to catch the utter idiots, too.

Yes, it means that much to me. It obviously means a lot to a good number of people because if it didn't, then helpbot wouldn't monitor it.
