Hello,

I just tried to log in, discovering that I am banned. Not sure what I did...other than terraforming the land around me, I went caving yesterday and did some strip mining, just a 1x2 tunnel to about 2000 blocks west of me and back halfway ish till I got tired and did /home. I found some dungeons - but I think they were all connected to caves I explored. Please let me know - thanks!

Can you show me where like you did for Rip? The diamonds I've mined were either exposed in caves, underneath other ores, or along my straight tunnel at y=11...and the spawners were connected to caves. One of them I believe I found by digging toward the sound of mobs near me. There is probably one that it appears I dug a long distance directly toward - I had found this one earlier, had the coords since i always check for double/triples and couldn't remember if I had looted the chests. If you look at the logs of the tunnel they will have been later than the time I first opened the chests

Ok, here are a couple of videos of what I found.

The first part will be quite long where we'll follow a fairly long route you took.

So this first video, I'm guessing is the one you were talking about where you dug towards it for a long time (although the timestamps show that you only took out the items just after you dug towards it, not before).

Up until this point there is no problem to be honest. You were digging and found a dungeon. The next part is where it gets dodgy, the cobble pillar you see at the end of the video is built by you about an hour after finding the dungeon. The next video shows the shaft you dug after going up the cobble pillar.

So you dig towards a ravine and the cobble pillar at the end is where you go up to find another spawner (it's in the opening you can just about see in the video). The next video shows what you do after finding that spider spawner (so the next video starts at the spider spawner abover the cobble pillar).

You walk towards the end of the cave and dig straight towards a skelly spawner. Note that everything from the second video onwards happens in quick succession of each other, there are no time gaps of more than a couple of minutes.

This second part is a smaller example.

And the 'I could hear the mobs' argument doesn't work as well here because there is no mob spawner due to the dungeon being cut off by a non-wiped realm.

Well, in the first three videos...
Video #1 as you said I was just mining along at y=11 and hit a cave. Vids 2-3 were both spawners that were open to the caverns with mobs coming out, which wouldn't need X-ray of any kind to find; when mobs are coming from a hole in the wall it's easy to tell. I did /trade a few times at those points to despawn the mobs. In vid 3, i decided to dig through the wall toward where the area the skeles looked to be coming from rather than hop around on the edge of the ravine waiting for them to knock me off.

In the last vid, I ended up in that cave with water and was pushed by the water toward the wall, mining away from it and then trying to get down to a lower y-coord, 2 blocks down hitting the cobblestone...I think this is about when I was going to leave and start my long y=11 strip mine but I don't recall. I had forgotten about this one as there was no spawner. If I was x-raying to the chest I definitely wouldn't have gone totally in the wrong direction and ended up in that water cave before finding it.

I know how these appeals go... I would probably be more likely to be unbanned if I just said I did it. But that's not for me...I can't fess up to something I didn't do, even if the odds aren't in my favor.

The route from the spider spawner to the skeleton spawner is a direct route which you took almost immediately after finding the spider spawner. You had to dig through two walls to get there as well. There is no possible way for the skeletons to come and attack you before you dug through those two walls. Again you dug straight there immediately after finding the spider spawner, there was essentially no time in between for exploring or seeing the skeletons from another angle.

In the last video, why did you decide to dig down diagonally into the adjacent cave?

When I reached the spider spawner and grabbed the loot, I took off and mined in a random direction to avoid dealing with more spiders. When I came out in that ravine, I heard the sounds of several skeletons ahead of me and I believe saw one or two venturing out at the bottom of the ravine. I was intending on using cobble to get down, but decided to mine into the wall to hopefully get cover and head in the direction of where they were coming from. I suppose it was my (I guess bad) luck that I ended up hitting the dungeon - if I hadn't I would have gone back into the ravine to find the opening and that situation would've been avoided. Although I had a much higher chance of hitting it randomly than, say, a diamond ore vein, considering dungeons are around 7x7x7 ish.

About mining diagonally to that water cave- I could have been distracted by something in chat or next to me in real life and was probably just mining in the direction I was facing aimlessly. It happened to me several times... Once, I died in lava, and another time died to a zombie.

Anyways, thank you for your time BSG. If I were looking at this I would also think it looked sketchy, I don't blame you. I just would love to be able to see everyone again.

Excuse me if I don't have a say here, but considering I found possibly the most Spawners in 1 year at minerealm I know a good bit, I was accused 25+ times of XRAYING Spawners! even had staff follow my mining to watch me find them legit. What Nuero is saying about hearing the mobs could be well true, aslong as he had activated the spawner within range, they spawned, he heard them and went back. The only fishy thing i see here is the last video, mining at level 37 toward the spawner, but if someone saw me find the vortex spawner I'd of got banned, mined for 4+ hours and at random times dug strait up and found it. Crazy things do happen like this, best of luck Nuero

Thanks Oneman. Actually in the last video most of the digging I did was in the "wrong direction" from the dungeon..was heading down to lower Y values when I hit that waterfall cave which ended up turning me completely around hitting the dungeon. I guess my sloppiness was my downfall...didn't really care what direction I was going in, just mined away from the water.

Edit: Just one more comment, this seems like it would be a pretty inefficient and dumb way if someone wanted to x-ray to spawners :p

From the zombie spawner you took a direct route to the spider spawner and then immediately after that a direct route to the skelly spawner (both times through at least one 20 block thick wall). It was the most efficient way possible.
