BSGSamuel is staff, as indicated by the darker blue of his name, and has explained why you are banned. If you still do not understand the reasoning, or the process of being unbanned, I suggest you read the stickied threads at the top of the ban appeals section.

ok i have just read the thread... again. and see nothing there that provides help for me.
i did read that to request a ban requires evidence, and no one has given me a reason for why i was banned yet.

can someone who can actually get access to chat log tell me what i said as no one seems to know. i feel as though this ban was accidental or just for the sake of it. the admin on this server are known to be banhappy.

if no one can get access to the logs can someone please ask intelli to help.

It doesn't matter what the context was or what a staff member may or may not have said, it doesn't give you the right to say these kind of things. If you have an issue with a staff member being inappropriate you can let the admins or other staff know about it and they will deal with it.

This shows an in-game chat log. What you said (which is show in that picture) was inappropriate, regardless of anyone else's actions. As a result, you were banned.

That is a screenshot of the chatlogs of your account. It's possible you didn't type that in which case someone else has access to your account and you should probably change your password.

If nobody else has access to your account you are simply lying about not having typed that.

Or you were really drunk and can't remember typing it but based on your spelling I suspect you are not old enough for that.

i'm just throwing this out there but 'Pauliothebull' said a stupid thing on chat with no previous warning or after, for all the things said by the community during that hour, he should have atleast been granted a warning before a 'permanent' ban.

pauliothebull has contributed in a noticable creations on minerealm over the past yearor more and i'm sure no admin nor moderator can think back to a time when he has been banned, suspended or muted for vulgar language.

this is just my opinion but i do think it's abit 'OVERKILL' to ban someone for 1 petty reason after they have been on the server for over a year.

What he said was completely and flagrantly unacceptable on a family-appropriate server, and your brother should have known better. As for a warning, that is a courtesy, not an expectation or requirement, particularly for chat violations. Griefing can be repaired, but things in chat can't be unseen by kids that shouldn't be seeing them in the first place, so don't expect us to be slow about putting a stop to that.

To clarify on calling this a 'permanent' ban: ALL bans are permanent. They do not expire on their own, but are lifted if the player creates an appeal that convinces staff that we should give them another chance on the server. In basically 100% of bans, that player has already given us a reason to want them OFF the server, and the appeal is to convince us that they are apologetic and somehow worth having around.

You are correct that he has not previously been banned for any kind of chat-related offense. He was, however, banned for "heavy griefing" in February of 2012, and my understanding is that it was at least several hundred blocks in scale, if not in the thousands. Again, as such a vaunted member of the server, he is expected to know the rules, especially something as basic as "keep chat clean". As a side note, we neither suspend nor mute. You get kicked if we want to send a serious warning, and banned if we're going to punish you.

Again, it's hardly a petty reason. We're a family server, and we do NOT allow such inappropriate chat. Also again, as a member for a year+, we have an expectation that he should know the rules.

You are, of course, perfectly entitled to think it's a spurious ban, and as Paulio's brother, no one should fault you for it, but that doesn't mean staff will agree with you.
