I feel like this system would create a lot of negativity on the forums. Right now, to show your dislike for someone's post, you have to think it through and type out a message, which will hope fully (except in the case of spam and trolling posts) provide them some idea of what they did wrong.
If the dislike button is implemented, someone can accomplish the same thing with one click, thereby removing any personal interaction or feedback from the equation. With this put into use, some of our conversations would go from educated person to person discussions to a mob throwing mushy tomatoes at some random guy.
However, the one click system if it was anonymous, could also add a unique way of finding the intentions of the crowd, as more people will be likely to respond with one click then by typing an entire post, despite the waste of tomatoes.
I guess there are arguments to be made for either side, but I doubt it will be implemented anyway. According to redkiller, this has already been suggested.
