Hey guys, I have been having this weird graphics problem with some textures and it changes every time I load Minecraft. Chests will have ether the bottom or the top texture missing or the latch, and mobs will be colored differently and missing body parts. It is very weird. I have tried to run vanilla minecraft and no texture glitch but sometimes nothing happens with my normal jar with ShaddowCraft and Optifine. I at one point ran Minecraft with Oracle Java 7 to try to help Minecraft run (I use Sun Java 6, because Debian Linux does not have Sun Java 7 in their aptitude, and I don't know how to download it off Java's site) but the glitch happens worse. I thought it was just my server(NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE) but I got on MineRealm and it still happened. I even tried the default texture pack but it still is glitched up. Sorry if I don't have the pictures of the mobs. This did not come to me until after I got on MineRealm again and it happened. And yes I have checked the Internet, the only help was an old Minecraft bug [1.2.5].

Try re-installing your entire MineCraft client. That is the only known fix I can think of.

That's odd. I use the ShaddowCraft+Optifine (+Convenient Inventory) .jar on Ubuntu and the only graphical error I get is my screen going all blurry and unusable when I try to F11 minecraft with not enough free CPU. Have you installed any mods other than Optifine and ShaddowCraft, or did you perhaps install a glitchy version of Optifine into the .jar (which already has it)?

No, I have not. When I looked to just install Optifine on another jar, I had no idea which Optifine to install. Could it possibly be one of the plugins in my server that caused it (AGAIN NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE, MINEREALM WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST SERVER).

Well I think I have pinned it down to 2 different things: it might be an outdated Optifine, or it could be ShaddowCraft (highly unlikely though) because i tried a vanilla minecraft jar and no glitch. Don't know why, this has never happened to me before.

Well, all I can say is that I use the official ShaddowCraft .jar with no issues in Ubuntu Maverick (Debian-based), so if you reinstalled (copy saves, screenshots, chatlogs, etc. to desktop or somewhere, delete .minecraft folder, relaunch, let it install, replace the vanilla .jar with the ShaddowCraft one and put back your saves, screenies, chatlogs, etc.) and the bug stayed, it's probably something having to do with Java.
