I have made a rail from 4500, -4200 to the White Palace, which is a short ride east from spawn. I plan to dig it out 5 wide and 3 high and would like some good folks to help! I will supply smooth stone and tools to any willing to help. I'm accepting all help, though I would prefer to get some seasoned players as project leads to ensure the job is done right.
If anybody is willing to help, please let me know here so we can begin to organize our efforts!
I also have future plans to include a rail to the new Grand Cathedral and Sky City, as they are both a short way away and it would create a fuller, more complete grid cover then the current subway system allows.
Any donations of construction materials or tools would be greatly appreciated!

I love it ! Alas, I don't have enough time to help :oops: , but I can donate some iron tools/smoothstone to help this project along.

That would be awesome, Super. I have a lot (but not enough) stone and almost no iron. ^^;
Also, on that note, thank you Super! I will add a note about accepting donations to the cause as well. Because this basically bankrupted me resource-ly.

I can't get on atm, but when I do, I'll donate 10 iron blocks and 5 stacks of smoothstone. The iron will be enought for 30 picks .

Max's Trade Centre will happily donate coal and/or charcoal in order to aid the rapid production of smoothstone needed to help with this vast project, in order to benefit rail travel for the masses.

Be sure to talk to SirDave in game. There is already a tunnel dug for a line to the Cathedral, just no rails yet. Maybe you can coordinate with him to get it finished so you don't have to duplicate efforts?
