So, I'm wanting to build a barracks and archery range combination. I've been searching for some designs, but google has failed Me.. I'm looking for a good design, and it needs to be a gothic/necromancer design preferably, and I'll be making it out of Obsidian. Can AnyOne help and toss some ideas around? The winning design will get a 2k reward!

where are you building it? if it is creative i will use blocks that is very rare in survival.

Don't overuse valuables, use several different materials, have a 'trimming material' on the corners, roof and such, create depth by setting windows and details back or forward from the main wall. Just a few tips

Obsidian? That depends on how much you have. If you got a lot, go on ahead bro, but I'd go with black wool; it costs less. If you're looking for a gothic style, I'd suggest using stairs and slabs to add extra detail. You know, putting them in upside-down in the corners of the roof and such. For gothic, use dark material, like stone brick blocks. Also try using wooden products to create the image of support beams in the roof or just to add a cool contrast with the stone bricks. Use wool to create the illusion of a rug or carpet on the ground. The rest of the ground would be good made out of planks, preferably pine or birch.

I'm building it in Survival, but go ahead and use any material You want, I'll just adapt it to Survival.


I have 20 realms worth of untouched Obsidian, so I have enough to construct what I want.
