The tangent of the ratio of your height to the length your shadow caused by the Sun is the angle the Sun is above the horizon. This is used in finding the time of day.

The sun's UV rays can also be damaging to your skin, and prolonged exposure can lead to skin cancer. Awesome logo by the way.
