Greetings Fellow Minerealmers,

It is has come to the attention of both Nordica's chamber of Commerce and its recently formed police force that despite attempts to by numerous parties including Nordica own brave law enforcement officers to counter civil disorder that reckless, rude and irresponsible beheaviour remains unchecked. Deaths in the Nether are at an all time high and the place is rife with bandits, cut throats and sheep botherers.

I was instructed to carry an impartial independent review of the matter and suggest possible means of resolving it for benefit of all of Minerealm. It seemed an impossible task, after all how do you stop people killing and looting the corpses of others and direct them to more beneficial activities. I am happy to announce consultation has finished and a solution has been found.



I know this may seem an extreme remedy but its really quite sensible. By paying others including criminals to kill other criminals we will not only give them a sensible vocation as bounty hunters but should also discourage acts of criminality generally and reduce the number of innocent members being killed in turn.

So without further ado the Nordica Ministry of Justice in concert with the Nordica Chamber of Commerce is proud to Sponsor the Minerealm Bounty Board.

Official Opening at 16:00 GMT 06/11/2011 we will be posting various threads on the matter outlining in detail how you can post and claim a bounty, the rules under which it may be done and the penalties for non-payment of a claimed bounty.
What is the Minerealm Bounty Board?

It is a list of members who have caused offence to others either by killing them without provocation, griefing there works or otherwise acting in uncivil manner for which interested parties (such as Nordica) has posted a bounty. It will list there name, last know location(if known) and their cred price. If you then kill a member on the list and provide the relevant proof and information need via a post in the 'Claim your Bounty' Thread the party who posted the bounty will pay you the amount of creds assigned to it. Details of how to claim and when to expect payment will be posted in the coming week.

Are you hiring bounty hunters?

No. We are simply posting bounties for Nordica and any other interest party which can be claimed through the 'Claim your Bounty' Thread which will be posted in the coming week.

Can I claim the same bounty multiple times?

You can only claim each bounty once per week. You may however claim for multiple different bounties.

Can anyone post a bounty?

Yes, its for anyone on Minerealm. There will be a thread where you can post a bounty request. Once a week the Bounty Board will be updated and new bounties added. Similarly if you would like to take down a bounty, post a request and it will be removed next update. Be aware you are expected to pay for any bounties you post and a failure to do so can lead to you being banned from using the board for not paying or even having Nordica place a bounty on your head in turn.

No idea who you are, but you just emptied my wallet of 500 Internets. Glad to see a revival of the bounty board. If you'd like, you can use the phoenix plot for an in-game copy. Now, onto what I dislike.

Can I claim the same bounty multiple times?

You can only claim a bounty once per week. If you kill the person three times in a week, then you will still only be paid the once if a claim is made.

You won't be getting too many bounties cashed in from this. In it's heyday (Early 2.0), there could be five bounties per week and only one person to claim them all. If you get rid of the one week rule, you should see an influx of both bounties and bounty hunters.

Here's something that I wanted to see happen in the original thread: If you make a fake bounty just for the sake of laughs, you automatically put a 100 credit bounty on yourself. I'm not entirely sure who would be paying the for his head, but if better comes to worse Ceteri can always pitch in.

Bounty of 500 credits to every confirmed, frapsed kill of a Ceteri member.

750 for unarmed Ceterians.

Ceterians cannot kill other Ceterians for the bounty.

Former and current Ceterian mercenaries may not collect, either.

Lord Hufflepuff is npc account used by Nordica's Officers for the Bounty Board and other justice based threads. The board will be maintained will be maintained by a number of people ensuring its regularly updated.

The rule about claiming only one bounty applies to multiple claims for the same bounty. You can claim any number of bounties but not the same one multiple times in a week.

E.g.

Can claim separate bounties for killing fred, another for killing bill and another for killing Help Bot

but you can not currently claim 6 bounties for killing fred 6 times.

Very nice. Will this be Nordica only members, or can us outsiders get in on it?

Nordica is already planning to pay a bounty if individuals fail to pay any the post though I am sure they would be happy for others to contribute too.

Regarding involvement of other organisations for the moment Nordica will set it up and administrate the board. Once going we are happy to re-appraise the matter. Nordica is simply setting it up and is happy to maintain it but its really for the whole of Minerealm.
