I was roaming the spawn area to find a public area of land tucked in between claimed land. I immediately bought it, and started to explore its contents. I find a sign about CloudtheClow's belongings being on this realm so i didnt take anything from the chests. If anyone knows the rule about me tearing down the structure or returning the stuff, i would appreciate it. The realm is at X:-175 and Z: -425.
I do not intend to sell this realm, but rather build my house on it since it is within walking distance. If anyone can link me to a thread about this, it would really help. Thanks,

Since the coordinates are less than 500 blocks from spawn you are allowed to buy it immidiatly, without a purchase inquiry, but ask a staff what to do about the stuff on it!

I was told you need to make a plot purchase app regardless of location, but you do not need permission to buy within 500 blocks of spawn prior.

Just get staff to check the items out. I got one of clouds plots near there just before the wipe, not even sure if he's active anymore tbh.

Correct - if you read the plot purchasing rules carefully, you can buy any plot within 500 blocks of spawn immediately but still need to put in a plot purchase application for it. That way it can be checked by staff, a decision made about the existing build / items and a record of that decision kept for future reference.
