Well, considering the topics involving new voxel games like Cube World and some others with that same blocky look that Minecraft made famous, I'd like to push a crowd of you guys to buying Starbound along with me. I've already purchased it and can't wait for its release! Right off the bat, you'll realize how similar it is to Terraria. Well, let me tell you guys that this game will be a million times better! You won't just pointlessly run around after killing the bosses or getting the best tools,weapons, and armor. You'll have tons of stuff to do, just like on Minecraft! It's price is currently $15 dollars to pre-order. There will be an open beta to those who pre-ordered as well. There are so many features in this game.

I was one of the 1st 1000 pre-purchasers, and have been following it for over a year. Hopefully it's as good as the hype.

Too many games I'm preordered for...

Star Citizen, Project Eternity, Torment, Banner Saga, Broken Age, Starbound, Maia.

I'm sure they are all going to release the same month too.

Star Citizen is going to make me go insane waiting for it to be released. I had forgotten its release date is sometime in 2015...

Supposedly they will be releasing the hangar module August or some such so we can at least look at our ships, and the dogfighting alpha Christmas ish. That being said, I think its the preorder I am most interested in (and the one I have sunk the most money into).

Well Star Citizen sounds like a cool game, but I imagine it to just be.. flying around.. and shooting. It doesn't get my attention too much. What makes it cool for you guys? And are you guys getting Starbound?

The level of realism and detail which is being put into the game is absolutely phenomenal. It appeals to and actually makes use of high-end PC's, so it's right up my alley. I'm actually going to buy a flight joystick set and the occulus rift specifically for Star Citizen.

I don't get why people play minecraft, I imagine it to just be wandering around... and building.

Honestly, Star Citizen is looking a lot more like Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind set in space, that is an MMO. There is the combat, which looks promising (the people making star citizen made some of the best space sims), there is trading, exploring. If you want, you can get organize a pirate armada, or you can become an industrial baron. It is going to be a very open game.

I will be getting starbound as well though.

You will hate me more when you realize that you can by add ons to your pledge, and they occasionally allow you to upgrade to limited edition upgraded ships for a small amount of money as well.

For those who don't pay attention to Star Citizen, watch this video. Its their ad for one of the ships you can fly.
