due to the considerable amount placed as the initial bid, I am considering closing the auction prematurely, in order to resolve the trade.

However I am not sure if such an action constitues braking the auction rules? I have posted an inquiry in the Auction Rules thread so I will let the questuon linger a bit, but if there are no objections I will end the Auction shortly.

I'm pretty sure if someone bids, you can sell it to them at any time.

For example even if I bid 500k, you have every right to sell it to beast. Of course, you'll have to wait for staff to confirm that.

No now you have started the acution you have to go thought with it. So any bids ar valid untill it has finished.

I've done many auctions, and I have ended all of them early because bidding dies out quick. So, yes, it is within the rules.

Just do a going once, twice, sold.

as you have set a ending time I still have the right to bid untill that time.
